YOU BELONG TO THE GOD-CLASS

I shared with you earlier in one my posts here that God has made you an overcomer in life, because you share his victorious and indomitable nature, for the Bible says you are “partakers of his divine nature” (2 Peter 1:4).

The question a lot of people often ask is: if this truly my nature, how then do I explain the tragedies that characterise my life? I will show you why...

Psalms 82:5-7 (KJV)
They know not, neither will they understand; they walk on in darkness: all the foundations of the earth are out of course. [6] I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most High. [7] But ye shall die like men, and fall like one of the princes.

Here, in verse 6, God is responding to that question. He however start explaining that I have told you that you are gods. In other words, you are his offspring, so you have his nature and inherent virtues.

But immediately after, in verse 7, he explains your current situation. He says, you shall die like men, although you are a god! In other words, He is saying, your life experiences should not mirror those of ordinary people around you who don't know God. You shouldn't suffer the same afflictions like them!

But why is this happening? The answer is in verse 5.  It’s because they walk in darkness. When you walk in darkness, you’re living a life of ignorance. You don’t appreciate your identity. You don’t know that you’re a god –– so you live like an ordinary, powerless and defeated human being!

One reason why believers fell to walk at the God-Level, or enjoy their privileges is because of the fits of carnality they allow now and again. A carnal Christian is the one who allows their flesh to rule their spirit, when it is their spirit that must dominate the flesh.

This was the prevalent problem in the Corinthian church, and Paul called them to order.

1 Corinthians 3:3 (KJV)
For ye are yet carnal: for whereas there is among you envying, and strife, and divisions, are ye not carnal, and walk as men?

Just like the Psalmist said you shall die like men, here Paul says you walk as men –– and not as the gods you are!

Perhaps the reason why the foundations of your life are out of course –– in disarray –– is because you have not allowed your divine nature as a god to come forth.

Take a moment to think about this. The child of a King does not cease to be a Prince or Princess simply because things have become tough. They don’t lose their authority because they don’t have money. She remains a Princess at times and in all circumstances because she is still a member of the royal family. Think about this!

Blessings!
